| Marble tables, glass light shades with dizzying patterns from Murano, and earth-toned tiled walls are just a part of the bustle and buzz that is the Enoteca at Via Matta. This wine bar-within-a-trattoria is cramped, but a find for its savvy roster of small Italian bites like heady Tuscan spare ribs, chicken liver crostini and homemade ricotta with sage and olive oil. The savory fare tends to the salty side and that suits the good-looking clientele of media and entertainment players just fine: they come as much for the drinks (basil-lime gimlet, grappa, Bellinis) and to plunder the wine list as for anything else. |
