| The name of this usually jammed place is a Spanish word referring to a ridiculous person or situation, but we find nothing outlandish about the tapas here. Our favorites are the thick and filling torta de patata (a classic Spanish tapa of potatoes, eggs and olive oil prepared like a hard omelet), the plump mussels in a tangy red-pepper vinaigrette, and the chicken livers in red wine sauce. Main-course specials and paellas are also available, but dryness can be a problem. Stick with the tapas. House-made flan is the dessert of choice; try either sangrĂa or one of the good Spanish wines. |
