Meat-lovers will rejoice at Espetus, a traditional churrascaria complete with a continual parade of meats on giant skewers throughout the dining room and little red and green wheels that signal bring it on or please stop---I'm beyond stuffed. Lively Brazilian music, pleasantly soothing light, and a friendly staff warm the narrow space. Diners are invited to visit the salad bar, with all of the usual Brazilian sides and vegetables, but be sure to show some restraint. The cavalcade of meat will be more that enough to attack even the most monstrous of appetites. Tender sirloin rimmed with a caramelized ribbon of fat competes with plump house-made sausages, slow-roasted chicken, almost every cut of pork, and turkey wrapped in bacon. Amazingly, the restaurant offers dessert including a moist tres leches cake.
