ESPN Zone Restaurant Review: ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney is an obvious destination for sports fans and families to hang out when visiting the Disneyland Resort. The main dining room boasts stadium seating and feels like a Vegas sports book, with several hi-def monitors flanking a giant HDTV showing the main game of the day. True sports nuts will want to take advantage of the large, deep recliners that face the action up-close, just like they would at home. The bar serves up stiff cocktails, mostly California wines, bottled beers and some good microbrews on draft. Starters are represented by classic bar food items like sliders, cheese fries, chicken tenders, chips and queso, and the spicy and tender barbecued chicken wings. For mains, we recommend the classic and gourmet burgers, the salmon and the New York strip steak. The molten lava cake appeals to any sweet tooth, with its warm chocolate center, vanilla bean ice cream and oodles of whipped cream. Need a break from the kids? Send the older ones to the arcade on the second floor.
