THIS RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED. Greek murals and Turkish rugs hung on the wall supply most of the atmosphere at this modest out-of-the-way eatery, but the food---especially the Turkish fare---is worth seeking out. Kebabs are first-rate, served on rice with grilled vegetables, or Turkish style over yogurt and pita fried in olive oil. Especially recommended are lamb and kofta kebabs. Vegetarians are well-served, too, with pita dips ranging from familiar hummus and baba ghanouj to Turkish specialties such as acili ezme (chopped walnuts, peppers and onions in tomato sauce) and patlican salata, a variation on baba ghanouj featuring smoked eggplant and dill.
