Evie's Tamales Restaurant Review: As the name states, tamales are the heart and soul of this modest little spot. The cornhusk-wrapped, steamed bundles of shredded seasoned pork coated with masa (corn flour dough) and some filled with beans and chicken or beans and jalapeƱos are what bring people to this storefront. A few other dishes, including huevos rancheros, enchiladas and frijoles borrachos, share the menu. The setting is two small rooms, one painted apple green, the other sunset pink. Evies is still family run. |
