Fado Restaurant Review

: With a name that’s Irish for “long ago,” this pub proclaims itself the best Irish joint in the city. We’re not sure that’s the case, but it gets props for the fact that its interior was shipped piece-by-piece from Ireland and assembled by Irish craftsmen; the bar alone is worth a look. Yes, the menu is likable, too. Fish ‘n’ chips, shepherd's pie, bacon and cabbage and brown bread are a taste of the rather extensive options, which are not all Irish-classic; chicken boxty quesadillas and Guinness barbecue wings offer updates on staples. And speaking of “chips,” here you can get them with an array of dipping sauces, including Guinness barbecue and red chili aïoli. Expect entertainment some nights as well as a great selection of beer.
