THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Faenza's on Main Restaurant Review: Casual yet elegant, traditional yet inventive---Faenza's walks a fine line with confidence and grace. It has to. As the canteen for the Rockledge Country Club, Faenza's is in the unenviable position of being all things to all people. It must offer pub grub to golfers, basics to families with children, traditional fare to the older clientele and refinement to the country club and business sets. Open to the public but catering to a sophisticated clientele, Faenza's somehow manages to make everyone happy with a variety of dining areas and menu options. The kitchen is happy to whip up barbecued chicken tenders for a fussy teen as well as paillard of pork with port demi-glace for a CEO. Diners could easily make a meal with starters and light plates including lobster corn chowder, chicken egg rolls, roasted clams, crab cakes, fried stuffed artichokes, fried calamari and quesadillas. There also are a dozen salad/sandwich/pizza offerings, but Faenza's really shines with its fine dining menu of pasta, seafood, grills and veal dishes. Anyone would be happy with entrées like six-cheese pasta purses sautéed with asparagus and radicchio or grilled lamb chops with garlic mashed potatoes. When the weather's good, dining on the patio deck overlooking the golf course is enjoyable.
