Fanny Ann's Saloon Restaurant Review: It may be a tourist attraction by day and rowdy bar by night, but in between, Fanny Ann's serves up indulgent comfort food in a quirky atmosphere. Its Gold Rush-era building is cramped and tiny, with each inch of its four stories filled with random knickknacks and thousands of initials carved into every table and stool. The menu is made up of typical bar food --- burgers, hot dogs, wings, curly fries and a few Ranch-laden salads thrown in for good measure. At night, it gets a bit more crazy, with loud music, strong drinks and college kids pouring out the door. If the décor isn’t entertainment enough, patrons can keep busy with pinball, video games or foosball. |
