THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Farley's 65th Restaurant Review

: "Brick and mortar" is how we refer to actual, rather than virtual, businesses, but this also describes the interior of Farley's on 65th. Silver, black and red make the counter, café tables and espresso machine pop, while wide openings allow breezes and customers to flow in and out in this mixed residential/industrial neighborhood. Weekly panini specials (pork loin with roasted fennel, apple and mozzarella) are crunchy and scrumptious, with ingredients sourced from local vendors such as Acme Bread Company, Diestel and Niman Ranch. A monthly salad special might boast quinoa tabbouleh, za'atar, cherry tomatoes and feta served on a bed of organic greens. House-made soups and sandwiches are always on the menu; bacon aroma invites as heirloom tomato BLTs are prepared. Cookies, cakes and scones are baked here to accompany De La Paz coffee and Five Mountain teas, both San Francisco companies, chosen for their flavor and politics. One corner is a dedicated art gallery and Tuesday lunch proceeds support various nonprofits. Two other Farley's locations have live music, entertainment, pet parades and parklets.
