| Feng Asian fuses the sophistication of a metropolitan go-to with the tranquility of a Zen garden. The interior is divided into three sections: an unassuming lounge, a fashionably long yet cozy sushi bar, and a spacious, contemporary dining room dominated by cool brick, descending columns and circular orange booths. The menu itself is equally stylish. Not only is the sushi among Hartford's most diverse and inventive, but entrées likewise make a strong case in favor of fusion, from duck roasted with lemon pepper, then touched with plum-peach chutney, to rib-eye dry-aged for 28 days and paired with Chinese potatoes and ginger salad. Desserts don't show the same verve, but service does---Feng's attentive staff excels at making its customers feel important. And for those who are night owls, don’t forget the daily late-night happy hour with reduced price appetizers and drinks. |
