A nostalgic favorite, Fentons has been serving ice cream and savories to generations since 1894. American classics, including onion rings, club sandwiches and tuna melts, are just precursors to dessert: massive sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes and root beer floats made with handcrafted ice cream. Featuring toasted-almond ice cream, the black-and-tan sundae is a signature special. Along with its historic Oakland location, Fentons operates a second location at the Nut Tree in Vacaville.

Fentons Creamery Oakland by RMATT on 10/16/2009

I called ahead of time to see if they carried a particular type of pie. I was told that they did, they had them in stock, and I was given the price. I made a trip there only to be told that the price they quoted me was wrong. I understand people make mistakes, but the manager did absolutely nothing to gain my continued patronage. He basically said there's nothing he could do for me.
