Fig & Olive Restaurant Review: New York's Fig & Olive has made its way to Scarsdale. True to its name, this Mediterranean restaurant features appetizer tasting menus of olives, cheeses and charcuterie. Standout starters include a delicate fig Gorgonzola tart with prosciutto, walnut, arugula and tomato on puff pastry. Entrées may range from braised beef short ribs to a taste of the Mediterranean with grilled shrimp, lamb chops, and rich truffle risotto with crimini mushroom, Parmesan and white truffle olive oil. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, try one of the ceviches, tartares or carpaccios. For a sweet finish, sink a fork into the caramelized apple tart or take a spoonful of warm chocolate soufflé with candied orange and vanilla ice cream.
