| Family-owned and -run, this is the original pizza parlor in San Diego’s Little Italy. We like to do a bit of shopping in the store up front that stocks a good selection of Italian gastronomy---from Sicilian olives to dried salami to specialty pasta---before heading back to get a pie hot from the oven. We prefer the works, a large pizza covered with cheese, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, black olives, onions and sliced meatballs. But there are many more from which to choose, including a massive vegetarian version. The menu also includes other standards such as lasagna, eggplant Parmigiana and spaghetti and meatballs. |
