 Executive chef Sam DeMarco feeds late-night crowds comfort food in a neighborhood bar-like environment. FIRST is a hip yet casual restaurant and lounge without any pretension or kitsch, but it has the right attitude with its high ceilings and tribal tattoo imagery on the floor. DeMarco's menu should hit the spot any hour of the day. Some of the dishes are meant to be shared, such as the Famous Lollipop Buffalo Wings with Maytag bleu fondue and pickled cucumber, which are a must. Entrées include roasted salmon and blackened skirt steak with jalapeño, chorizo and potato hash and spicy cheese sauce, as well as steak frites and chicken and waffles. Fun cocktails include a Sammy D's cucumber gimlet and the Cotton Candy Kiss with a Life Saver-crusted rim.
