First Watch Restaurant Review: The name seems apropos for its specialty: good breakfasts. And you know what you’re going to get, as the menus never vary from location to location at this family-friendly restaurant with no-nonsense service and strong coffee. Everyone feels at home, from business types meeting over coffee to families and seniors. We like the cranberry-nut pancake with fruit, but beware: one fills a dinner plate. Kids go for the chocolate chip variety. For a big appetite, the omelets are the best bet, like the works, with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, melted cheeses and diced tomatoes, topped with sour cream. |
