Five Loaves Cafe Restaurant Review

: This no-fuss eatery stays busy by turning out an eclectic menu of tasty, reasonably priced dishes. Tempting combinations include a bowl of the daily soup and a small arugula salad with goat cheese, beets, candied walnuts and carrots; and a downsized peppercorn and coriander roast beef sandwich with horseradish mayo, honey grain mustard, smoked provolone, lettuce, tomato and onion. Tri-colored tortellini is complemented by sun-dried tomatoes, portobello mushrooms and fresh spinach. Other entrées range from tilapia piccata to a vegetable tofu stir-fry. Careful in selecting primary materials, Five Loaves offers curried chicken made from antibiotic-free, free-range chicken fed a vegetarian diet. Top picks for dessert: coconut cake or a slice of tuxedo cake with whipped cream and a draping of chocolate ganache. Look for wine specials, with half-priced bottles every Wednesday and Saturday. Also located at 1055 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., Ste. 50, Mount Pleasant, 843-849-1043.
