The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. Restaurant Review: Filet Co. is located off the beaten path in a residential area, and is owned by Scot Forste and Fred Isch. There’s an outdoor porch and 10 tables and a bar in the dimly lit interior. The menu features comfort fare with a certain 70s nostalgia with dishes like lobster Thermidor with bacon-wrapped scallops (or filet mignon) and a tropical stir-fry with shrimp, peppers and pineapple over ginger fried rice. The kitchen also offers catch-of-the-day fish specials with banana salsa or Key lime butter. Specialties include lobster mac ‘n’ cheese and beef chili in spiced dark chocolate sauce served over spaghetti topped with sour cream. For dessert, try battered fried bananas with honey or a strawberry beer shake. Get a bottle of wine for half price with any entrée.
