Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Restaurant Review

: Fleming’s proclaims that “food and wine become partners every night of the week” in its stylish 260-seat steakhouse. Supporting the wine end of that promise is a massive wine cellar that emphasizes boutique vineyards from around the world as well as the big names, plus a reserve list, an extensive selection of dessert wines and 100 wines available by the glass. The grilled Prime steaks are hand-cut daily. For starters, we like the wicked Cajun barbecue shrimp marinated with garlic and spices, and the lobster tempura, served with red jalapeño and soy ginger sauces for dipping. Top meat choices include eight- and 12-ounce filet mignons, 16-ounce rib-eyes and New York strips, and a light breaded veal chop with tomatoes and basil. The tuna mignon is seared rare with poppy seed au poivre and tomato-sherry vinaigrette; the lobster "en fuego" is heated by sriracha chili soy sauce and is served atop a bed of orzo. Among sides are the house special of scalloped potato with cream, jalapeño and cheddar cheese. For dessert, indulge in the rich caramel of the walnut turtle pie or simple fresh berries with chantilly cream.
