THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Floradora Restaurant Review: This is the towns most jumpin joint. This family-style restaurant and bar has been owned by Howie and Lois Stern for nearly a quarter century, since their humble start here as dishwasher and waitress. At the bar, theres a grand selection of microbrew beers, palate-pleasing wines and the comforting Floradora Warmers---hot chocolate and coffee drinks with a kick. In the dining room, the western cuisine is unpretentious and hearty---steaks, fish, pasta, burgers, and vegetarian are all happy here. Try the ancho chile calamari on tomato salsa, the bacon-wrapped trout on apple-piñon hash, the roasted poblano meatloaf with red chile onion rings, or the cowboy rib-eye with garlic mashed potatoes. Kids menus come equipped with crayons. Stop here when you arrive in town to get in touch with that Wild West spirit.
