![]() THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Flying Fish Restaurant Review: Chef-owner Christine Keff serves some of the most innovative and freshest seafood in Seattle. The dinner crowd blends locals and astute travelers proving that hip and haute are not mutually exclusive when it comes to cuisine. Chef Keff's menu changes daily according to trends in the marketplace, but remains consistently anchored in seafood. We like the wok-blackened opa drizzled with wasabi cream, the grilled escolar in orange sauce over a fresh rice noodle stir-fry, and the seared scallops and green papaya salad in a delicate Thai curry sauce. We also enjoy dining with a group in the back room and getting messy by diving into shareable platters of grilled Szechwan-peppered, cracked Dungeness crab or whole fried snapper---the latter accompanied by rice paper wrappers and all the fillings for rolling your own spring rolls, then dipping them into an alluring pineapple-anchovy sauce. The wine list, chosen from around the globe, has a first-rate representation of Northwest wines. Try the bittersweet chocolate-grappa cake for dessert. |
