| The main attraction at this country-club inspired steakhouse is the meat: beautiful cuts of Prime beef meticulously cooked to order. There’s something for appetites of all sizes with options ranging from an eight-ounce filet mignon to a 28-ounce porterhouse. For those who shun red meat, seafood options abound, and heart-healthy dishes can be created upon request. Vegetable sides tend toward 1950s-inspired classics such as asparagus with hollandaise and spinach casserole. But executive chef Javier López is tilting the cooking toward a more modern edge. The restaurant prides itself on an attentive staff and a cellar of 400-plus wines, with decent by-the-glass and half-bottle selections. Most choices are American, and some of the more important categories (such as Champagne and sparkling wine) show some pretty ordinary selections. |
