Fonte Cafe & Wine Bar Restaurant Review: Don't be fooled by the coffee shop moniker --- it is one in name only. The attractive space and well-appointed kitchen deserve equal recognition. The revamped menu features pastas, pizzas, salads and many breakfast items. Morning favorites include chorizo scrambled with eggs and an assortment of vegetables served with corn tortillas; chopped cured meats, potatoes, peppers and onions topped with a fried egg; and french toast paired with cinnamon-pecan mascarpone. Pizzas range from a traditional margherita to a roasted crimini mushroom-topped pie. A well-chosen wine lineup satisfies at cocktail hour, while drinks pair well with an artisan cheese and meat platter, or one of the simple appetizers. For a sweet finish, order the crème brûlée trio (ask your server for the day’s selection). Considering taking a little Fonté home? This is Seattle's sole retail location for Fonté’s locally roasted beans.
