You can get nearly anything you want at this working class joint stuck in the midst of Portland’s trendiest neighborhood. There is nothing pretentious about the food here: burgers, meatloaf sandwiches and slabs of delicious homemade pie. The prices are as humble as the décor. The place is usually packed at lunchtime, so expect to share a table; singles may choose the large communal table where more than one romance has sparked---perhaps over a steaming plate of spaghetti. But those who don't wish to socialize are always left in peace.
