| Forum occupies two levels---each with its own bar---in an entirely renovated space, the former home of Vox Populi on bustling Boylston Street. An outdoor patio accommodates al fresco dining in the warmer months and enormous windows overlook the Back Bay. Focusing on simple, fresh flavors, the menu offers a raviolo starter that’s worth the calories, cleverly prepared with bacon, ricotta and oozing egg yolk. Pair it with a bottle of Cabernet from a wine collection of 1,300 bottles, which includes a good selection available in half bottles. Have a craving for sushi? Don’t miss the scallop crudo with pickled radishes and jalapeño oil for that extra kick. Among mains, choose from fish, meat or house-made pastas, such as ricotta gnocchi with lobster, tomatoes and beurre blanc. We also suggest the striped bass with fava beans and English peas, but the hidden gem is the short rib dish with jalapeño polenta. For dessert, share the strawberry soup with vanilla panna cotta or almond cake with raspberries. |
