| This place is definitely a sign of things to come: no waitstaff (well, hardly any) and a counter where patrons pull together their own order of thick, char-grilled burgers, fries and rich milkshakes by marking up an order sheet. Other choices: hot dogs, a garden burger, a grilled chicken sandwich or salad, or Buffalo wings. Note that the founders of this national chain see Foster’s as mirroring the family barbecue. Well, that’s not quite what happens, and though the kids like the no-frills décor and the video games, we’ve found better burgers elsewhere. Other area locations. |
