This place is definitely a sign of things to come: no waitstaff (well, hardly any) and a counter where patrons pull together their own order of thick, char-grilled burgers, fries and rich milkshakes by marking up an order sheet. Other choices: hot dogs, a garden burger, a grilled chicken sandwich, a turkey burger, or Buffalo wings. Also on the menu are salads for those watching calorie intake. Note that the founders of this national chain see Foster’s as mirroring the family barbecue. It's a casual destination for when moms don't feel like grilling burgers or tossing salads.
