Four Food Studio Restaurant Review: A storm of seasonal sensory overload greets diners as they step inside this sophisticated Melville eatery. Glide past the lounge with its lime couches (spring) to the visually striking bar (summer). The acoustics in the open, wood-lined dining area (autumn) are quite loud. For more intimacy, request the winter room, a partially enclosed igloo-like space filled with booths resembling oversize teacups. The attentive waitstaff is knowledgeable in regard to the menu that changes every 13 weeks. Appetizers range from Long Island standards like oysters and shrimp cocktail to creative mac ‘n’ cheese bites with tomato dipping sauce and Korean barbecue pork tacos. Entrées might include Kobe meatloaf or a lobster stir-fry: a one-and-a-half-pound shelled lobster tossed with Asian noodles, vegetables and seasonings. The wine list includes ten bottles from Long Island vineyards. Fluffs of fruit-flavored cotton candy arrive at the end of the meal.
