THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Franklin Southie Restaurant Review

: Franklin Southie offers quality, stick-to-your-ribs fare (even a pig roast for ten or more) and a comfortable vibe. You'll find classics like a barbecue half chicken with corn and black-eyed pea salad or hanger steak frites with Roquefort butter. There's also a satisfying raw bar with oysters, shrimp and lobster. If you prefer sharing, order off the small plates menu, which features everything from spicy lamb meatballs and a jar of homemade pickles to tuna tartare and smoked eggplant dip. After a late night, try a skillet breakfast or the corn flake-battered crunchy french toast with lemon-honey whipped ricotta. The waitstaff is affable --- the service makes even bleary-eyed nocturnal visitors feel like pampered regulars. The wine list is well-priced and varied with by-the-glass options from California, Chile and Australia.
