Frank's Steak House Restaurant Review:

Frank’s lays claim to being the oldest steakhouse in Boston --- open since 1938, to be precise. The restaurant doesn’t seem to have changed much over the years, with its atmosphere seedy enough to evoke a casino lounge, complete with Keno, yet kitschy enough to reel in hipsters as well as their grandparents and friendly enough to keep them all coming back. The prices are reasonable and Frank's certainly does a few things very well, while most dishes border on average. Stick to the signature New York “sizzler” served in a cast iron skillet, the onion loaf, or half-pound sirloin burger. Then toss in the cheapest wine by the bottle you’re likely to find in Cambridge and your wallet will thank you later. Frank’s is not a dazzling dining experience by any means or a romantic place to pop the question, but offers a nostalgic walk down memory lane.
