French Market Grille Restaurant Review: Veteran hotelier Patrick Halcewicz supervises this delightful French restaurant in North County, and we appreciate that the menu encompasses classics such as boeuf Bourguignon and coq au vin, as well as updated dishes that reflect the possibilities of the moment and the whim of the chef. Nice starters include French onion soup, crab cakes and scallops with grapefruit sauce. Enjoy entrées like paella, braised lamb shanks and breast of duck, or try the signature bouillabaisse. We like the freshly baked specialty breads, but do save room for the crêpes Suzette. Sunday brunch calls for toast and fresh jam, house-made quiche, salad Niçoise or eggs Benedict with a Kir Royal.
