THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Front Page News Restaurant Review:
Both young families and couples throng the patio space, while sports-minded patrons gather in front of big screens to watch their favorite teams. Snacks include pretzel bites---pieces of soft pretzel with a bland cheese dip or zingier honey mustard for dipping. Wings are a better choice. Besides the sandwiches, wraps and burgers, FPN purveys full plate specials, including a buttermilk fried chicken and fish 'n' chips with an Abita beer batter. The Cajun Presser, with meats, peppers and cheeses, is just one of several tastes of Louisiana on this menu. Skip the rather bland Cajun red beans and rice with half of a grilled andouille sausage and go for the crab cakes, a pair of which perch atop a nicely spiced rémoulade. The wine list is pedestrian, so savor an Abita instead. Brunch features a 100-item build-your-own Bloody Mary bar and still more NOLA flavors, such as pain perdu. Also located at 351 Moreland Ave., Atlanta, 404-475-7777.
