| Sitting on this unpretentious restaurant's makeshift, blue-tented patio gives one the illusion of dining in a festive coastal café outside of Beirut, perhaps. Service and comfort are sacrificed here for authentic Lebanese cuisine at bargain prices. Among meze (small plates from which it's easy to assemble an entire meal), you'll find falafel, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, flakey turnover-like fatayers and spicy lamb sausages. Entrées include good kebabs and lemon chicken with an addictive garlic sauce. Finish the evening with turbocharged coffee or mint tea---or even a puff on a hookah. |
