THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Gaffney's Oyster & Ale House Restaurant Review:

Gaffney's is a real neighborhood pub, a bit like Cheers, except at Gaffney's folks can down both brews and bivalves. Oysters are great here. Although we have decided that the raw bar may surpass several other menu items, we'd return for the Charleston crab roll appetizers, the tomato-based seafood chowder, and the mussels steamed in white wine and garlic. On a different note, casual diners may cheer on the burger and sandwich selections, while those who like their meals in a bowl may turn to the chili and such lusty combos as the gumbo with rice, shrimp, smoked chicken and andouille sausage. It's an eclectic menu, with a little something for everyone. While the dark woods and comfy banquettes may offer winter time solace, no one should skip the delightful alfresco seating when weather allows.
