 What began as a cozy neighborhood place in inauspicious Davis Square has, like its surroundings, morphed---deservedly---into a hip destination, renowned for its Sunday morning "disco" brunch and an eclectic bar menu that changes regularly. There are large windows and comfy chairs in the bar where, in addition to well-made cocktails, patrons can dine from a menu rife with whims, from frites cooked in duck fat and smothered in Gouda to duck wings (the dining room menu is also available). Moving into the subdued dining room, one encounters a quiet zone filled with soft colors and candles, where a savvy crowd delights in Jason Santos' adventurous menu. You might not know exactly what to expect from menu descriptions like wild escargots and black truffle cappuccino with sunchoke espuma, signature hoisin and honey-glazed duck confit with sweet sticky rice, or pizza-roasted chicken, but you sure will enjoy the suspense.
