Gelato Vero Caffe Restaurant Review: How about a cup of caramel cream-with-brownies gelato, a coffee drink and a little wireless internet on the side? One of Little Italy's cultural hubs, Gelato Vero Caffè offers 12 flavors daily, from mocha-rum crunch, espresso bean and spumoni, plus a couple of dairy-free sorbetti like mango and blackberry. Expanding beyond the espressos and sweets, chef Kirstin Green serves global cuisine for breakfast and lunch on the upstairs patio. Think waffles with fresh blueberries, whipped cream and a strawberry-balsamic syrup, or sobhane --- a Persian breakfast of creamy French feta, fig and sour cherry preserves, sliced cucumber, olives, fresh herbs and walnuts.
