THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Gigi's Restaurant Review: The emphasis is on pizza as well as homemade lasagna, New York Strip steaks, pasta, fettuccine, eggplant, ravioli (meat or cheese), chicken, duck and seafood. Gigis (the first of its branches opened in 1967) offered the areas first thin-crusted pizza, cooked on oven bricks rather than in pans, so the peel has to slide in just right to retrieve the pie. Now, there are more than 30 choices of pizza. All sausages are homemade and the steaks are hand-carved. A recent added menu item is New Zealand mussels with a tomato basil sauce.
