| The Brookline branch of Chinatown's semi-legendary sushi stop is larger and more stylish than its parent. Behind the sushi bar, the chefs in their stark white coats and hats look like whirlwinds as they cut and roll their treasures. The saké bar is a hit with the locals, largely suburban preppies and B.U. students on dates. In addition to nigiri and maki both classic and contemporary, the menu includes a few worthwhile kitchen specialties---broiled, glazed eel, a similar dish of eggplant, and cold soba noodles among them. Overall it lacks the character of the original, but it compensates with calm. |
