Goshi Restaurant Review: It’s not a place you’ll stumble upon, but finding Goshi has always been worth the effort. This tiny spot can pretty much take credit for introducing Japanese food to San Luis Obispo back in the day when sushi was considered exotic, and it still delivers on authenticity. We enjoy the half-and-half rolls, especially “Goshi’s Best” --- a crab and avocado interior with a seared tuna exterior on one half, and albacore inside and onion and garlic chips outside on the other. Tuna tataki is also a favorite, and the tempura is light and crispy. Local wine is available plus bottled imported beer and a couple drafts. Desserts include mochi and several ice creams, such as red bean and mango. Note: The restaurant closes between lunch and dinner. |
