Graeter's Restaurant Review: Graeter's ice cream is still made the old-fashioned way: a laborious process in which workers use hand-carved paddles to scrape the ice cream from French pots. Other machines whip air into the mix; these do not, resulting in a firm texture and creamy taste. The black raspberry chip flavor has boulders of high-quality chocolate concealed in the ice cream. The store releases "mystery flavors" throughout the summer, and some tastes, like blueberry pie, remain on the menu. All of the Graeter's stores have an old-fashioned soda fountain feel. |
