| This little restaurant picked up and moved from its longtime space on State Road 436 to the other side of town---along busy Restaurant Row in Southwest Orlando. Now there’s both indoor and outdoor seating in an area that’s known for good food. The Chrissanthidis family still is at the helm, offering efficient and gracious service and authentic Greek cuisine. It's easier to wait for an entrée if you order bowls of Greek spreads like tzatziki and taramosalata with crispy pita chips for dipping. Share a plate of loukaniko (Greek sausage) or a flaming piece of saganaki. The appetizers make a good meal, but the best sellers are still the rack of lamb and whole fish. The fish arrives at the table with a crisp coating, the meat tender and flaky. If you're there for the Greek specialties, ask for the specials, or try the pastichio---macaroni with ground beef in béchamel sauce and Parmesan cheese. The gyros are only on the lunch menu, but they’ll make one for take-out during dinner hours. And can anyone resist the tray of sweet and flaky baklava? |
