Green Chile Kitchen Restaurant is one of our 2012
| Top 10 SF Mexican Restaurants
|
| Residents of the Nopa and beyond line up for the organic salads, rotisserie chicken, tamales and enchiladas at this casual eatery where New Mexican inspired cuisine is crafted from mostly organic, sustainable ingredients. The namesake green chile turns up as a rub on Fulton Valley chicken, as a sauce in the burritos or in the flavorful green chile stew with slow-roasted Niman Ranch pork. Made-to-order salads include a variety of toppings, from vegetables to bacon to the signature chicken breast. Somewhat accidentally divided into two dining areas, the eatery is comprised of a mix of booths, two-tops and eclectically outfitted high tables with funky stools; the second half provides counter seating along the bar or window front, and seats at a large community table. Also available: beers on tap, sangrĂa and sopapillas. |
