Green Leaf Vietnamese Restaurant Restaurant Review: Bamboo covered walls and other Asian accents set the mood at this longtime destination for Vietnamese food. Upstairs, a larger room with incongruous wagon wheel-style furniture is less charming, but considerably quieter. Start with the Vietnamese pancake topped with generous portions of shrimp and pork (easily shared among four people), and an order of plump spring rolls with crunchy fried wontons tucked into the center. Favorite dishes include catfish cooked in a clay pot, steaming bowls of anise-scented pho with beef, sea bass with lemon grass, and udon noodles with shrimp and crab. For $25.95, two persons may share seven courses of beef. Dessert features green tea ice cream. Friendly, helpful service is a bonus. Go early if you don’t want to wait in line. Also located at 2800 First Ave., Belltown, 206-448-3318.
