Greencork Restaurant Review: Greencork’s state-of-the-art wine dispensers, separated by color and flavor, line each wall (this is a first for Memphis). Patrons can put any amount of money on a pre-paid card; insert that card into a machine; select a two-, four- or six-ounce pour; and have their glass filled without requiring assistance from a server. But waitstaff are on hand to take orders for contemporary Southern cuisine from the kitchen. Fried green tomatoes with house-made creamed corn and bacon, or deep-fried coconut shrimp make for satisfying appetizers. Entrées range from fried bone-in pork chops to Greek meatballs in pita to barbecue shrimp tacos. Greencork’s picnic basket --- a selection of premium meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh bread and house-made condiments --- is perfect for sharing with a friend or a date. There’s also a dessert sampler with chocolate truffles, French macarons, and framboise topped with cream.
