The Grill at Hacienda del Sol Restaurant Review: This resort restaurant is one of Tucson’s best-kept secrets, boasting some of the best views of the city. Chef Bruce Yim and his team serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as Sunday brunch. For the morning meal all the standards are available, but consider the house eggs Benedict that’s made with buffalo-beef chorizo and a rich charred tomato jalapeño hollandaise. Lunchtime offerings are a bit limited, but dinner showcases entrées that are prepared with care and often include ingredients grown on property. Starters run the gamut from corn vichyssoise to grilled octopus. Choose among several pastas and seafood dishes; we recommend the pork three-ways with its bacon-wrapped tenderloin, andouille sausage and roasted vegetables. Sunday brunch presents an array of omelets, waffles, prime rib, breakfast meats, cheeses, blintzes and more. The wine list is eclectic and well-balanced. With over 900 labels and 6,000 bottles, the sommeliers are bound to find the perfect bottle (or two) to pair with your meal.
