The Grill at Hacienda del Sol Restaurant Review: You'll find a beautifully appointed dining room with striking views of the city, a bit of history and a menu featuring ingredients fresh from the chef’s garden that is located on the grounds of the Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort. There’s also a bit of whimsy in such plates as the green egg and ham starter that brings together a fried egg, pea purée, pork belly, truffled spinach cream and a crunch of crostini. House-made mozzarella and beet salad will wake the palate. Main dishes can be upscale such as the Skuna Bay salmon with polenta cakes, bacon and artichoke, or a tad more casual with the cornmeal-encrusted chicken and waffles accompanied by dates, tomatoes, almonds, honey and foie gras butter. Stick around for Sunday brunch where chefs put out a lengthy line-up of treats. And as far as wine is concerned, the cellar is one of the largest and most varied in town.
