| Spiced rack of lamb with lemon pistachio crust. Miso-grilled flat-iron steak with shiitake mushrooms. Doesn’t sound like run-of-the-mill hotel dining, does it? Grille 700 at the Marriott Waterfront obviously sees itself as a downtown player, not just a meal service for hotel guests; fresh, bold flavors and intriguing compositions---as well as nicely-selected American classics---appear on these plates. The restaurant’s interior, too, is engaging. Airy, high-ceilinged, and with an abstract waterfront motif befitting its location, it offers tables spaced properly for conversation. Servers are knowledgeable and well trained. |
