Grille 700 Restaurant Review: Bison osso buco with celeriac purée. Panang tofu with Thai coconut curry sauce. Doesn’t sound like run-of-the-mill hotel dining, does it? Grille 700 at the Marriott Waterfront obviously sees itself as a downtown player, not just a meal service for hotel guests; fresh, bold flavors and intriguing compositions --- as well as nicely-selected American classics --- appear on these plates. Many of the ingredients originated at local farms, and the produce is organic whenever possible. The restaurant’s interior, too, is engaging. Airy, high-ceilinged, and with an abstract waterfront motif befitting its location, it offers tables spaced properly for conversation. Servers are knowledgeable and well trained. |
