Grotto Restaurant Review: Grotto dishes up hearty Neapolitan favorites in an inviting, colorful setting. Roman crust pizzas are a specialty, with choices ranging from the simple (margherita, cheese), to the distinctive (di mare with shrimp, calamari, tomatoes and mozzarella). Start with the zuppa maritata, a traditional wedding broth with chicken meatballs, Italian greens and pasta. For a main course, consider the snapper scarpariello, a crispy-crusted filet served with jumbo shrimp and a lemon-garlic sauce. Veal scaloppine dishes are dusted with Parmesan and served with a choice of mushrooms, artichoke hearts or peppers, tomatoes and goat cheese. Rich pasta dishes also excel---we’re hooked on the ricotta-stuffed ravioli with vodka sauce. Cheers also to the frosty Bellini that is served to wash it all down. |
