Half & Half Restaurant Review: Sunny side up eggs are one of two signature items at Half & Half. The surprisingly versatile golden orbs adorn all the best breakfast entrées, most notably the salmon-potato hash but also biscuits and gravy, chorizo and cornbread, steak and eggs and fried chicken livers. The second is coffee, brewed with the goal of seasonal bean appreciation rather than straight caffeine consumption. Together with the citrus-sugar donuts, oven-baked oatmeal, raspberry-studded mascarpone pancakes and ham biscuits with fruit preserves, they tilt the scale toward breakfast. However, the local office workers do justice to the lunch menu as well. The burger’s a favorite, its patty a blend of brisket, chuck and hanger steak ground with pork fat. Weekends see more sales of beer, wine and cocktails like the bourbon-chai punch, all good choices when faced with the almost-inevitable wait for a table.
