Happy Dog Restaurant Review

: With a menu focused on hot dogs and the many things you can put on top of them, this Gordon Square Arts District restaurant offers no-muss, no-fuss food. There are four items to choose from: a hot dog, a vegan sausage, fries and tots. However, with an array of house-made toppings available---there are 50 to be exact, including everything from a raspberry crunch mustard and wasabi peas to chunky peanut butter and a baby bok choy coca cola stir-fry---the combinations multiply. The hot dogs themselves weigh in at a quarter pound while the ‘veggie’ sausage is actually a vegan Italian sausage. Both come on a poppy seed roll. But the fun doesn’t end there. Happy Dog is well known for its live music and beer list, which features over 75 brews, including more than 20 on tap. A small wine list is also available and bottles of root beer, cream soda, orange and grape pop can be had too.
