| Enjoy dual dining options at this casual steakhouse-seafood grill with traditional men's club paneling, gas lamps and fireplaces that provide an atmosphere blending cozy with elegant. Quality ingredients---many local, natural, organic or heirloom---are used in preparations from classic to creative, though not strained. Meats include premium steaks with Cabernet butter or béarnaise, a grilled filet with local figs, roasted oyster mushrooms and Maytag blue cheese, and lamb chops with a grilled donut-peach salad. On the seafood side, there’s the raw bar, a classic New England lobster roll overstuffed in the traditional (if boring) bun, grilled Maine lobster with a shrimp and bacon filling, and an ahi ceviche so fresh that the bright red hash might be mistaken for a ripe tomato salsa. Look for a weekday prix-fixe special for a two-course lunch and three-course dinner. Wines are given serious attention with recommendations for dishes, a featured flight, wine events and in-house classes. |
